Lydia Azout´s
Her artistic formation began in Bogotá under David Manzur, continued with Luis Camnitzer in Lucca, and deepened at the Istituto di Marmo e d’Arte in Pietrasanta.
Lydia Azout´s
Lydia Azout’s exhibition history traces the evolution of her sculptural practice through an ongoing investigation of volume, void, geometry, and spatial presence.
Rooted in Colombia’s pre-Hispanic cultures and sacred landscapes, her work draws on ancestral cosmologies and the relationship between ritual, geometry, and nature.
Working primarily in iron, Azout explores sacred geometry through elemental forms, transforming industrial material into sculptural expressions of organic vitality and metaphysical inquiry. Her work redefines monumentality through a contemplative language of form, space, and spiritual resonance.
